SOUL — Songs of an Unknown Language is a sound-based art series translating the hidden communications of plants into visual form — painting, drawing, and recorded sound. Drawing from research in bioacoustics, the work renders the ultrasonic emissions, bioelectrical pulses, and vibrational signals of the plant world into organic forms and textures that exist at the threshold of science and poetry.

Rooted in Euphony, an ongoing practice of translating classical music into visual art, this series extends that same interpretive discipline into a more ancient and elusive language — one that has always been present, just beyond the reach of ordinary listening. SOUL is an invitation to reconsider what it means to communicate, to perceive, and to share a world with voices we are only beginning to hear.
