Multitudes is a series of works exploring the logic of life at an invisible scale. Drawings, paintings and installations inspired by cellular biology — by how one cell becomes two, two becomes a thousand, a thousand becomes a whole organism. The work begins with a simple question: what do a cell and a community have in common? Both grow through repetition. Both depend on each individual unit contributing to the whole. Both contain, within themselves, entire worlds of hidden geometry. The series includes works on paper and canvas investigating cellular form, pattern and symmetry, alongside participatory installations that invite the public to become part of the work — to add their own cell to a structure that cannot be completed without them. Multitudes is not a metaphor for community. It is community, built through material and time.
